Imagine leaving beautiful Naples, coming to the United States and seven years later you are still here! Love is all. While on vacation, Corrado met his wife and that was that. Corrado grew up in Naples and it would not be a mistake to say he has pizza in his blood. His time growing up was spent in the family’s pizzeria. It made sense that, pizza being America’s favorite food, he would eventually continue his family’s tradition here. After working at the San Mateo restaurant in New York and then catering for Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck it was time to take a leap and open his own place.
Corrado and his partners found a space in Bergenfield for a huge gourmet kitchen. It is the perfect place for the preparation of authentic Italian food. Everything is fresh and home made. When the weather allows, there is a small area for outside dining.
To list some specialties besides the amazing wood-fired pizza. There is lasagna Bolognese, pollo alla Milanese, gnocchi, pesto, burrata, beautiful arancini with their special meat sauce in the center, and they make beautiful salads. Their menu is full of so many more delicious choices.
Culto Italiano has a full catering menu. Whatever your event needs in order to make it a success, they will make it happen. This is the rare Italian eatery that is run by Italians. Corrado and his partners, in addition to their marvelous cooking skills, are charming and warm people. It is all around, a real taste of Italy!
