Your Story, Designed Beautifully

Great design isn’t just about how a space looks—it’s about how it lives.

At Avery Johnson Design, they approach every project as a story waiting to be told. Through a collaborative, detail-driven process, they craft interiors that feel layered, meaningful, and effortlessly refined—spaces that not only impress, but truly belong to you.

Steve Ortiz, Awesome Car Guy!

It was not Steve’s lifelong dream to be selling cars. He wanted to be an actor. He did study acting a little, but then life interfered and Steve had to get serious. FYI, he did not just want to act, he wanted to be in film.

Fate definitely had other plans. Steve was delivering auto parts and one day the axle on his car broke. No car, no delivering! While looking for a different way to make some money he saw an ad for a car salesperson.

Kismet! Steve is a gifted salesperson.

Photography and the Evolution of Confusion

Be careful with stuff you don’t even wish for. Back in an earlier life, I was a serious photographer, amateur, but serious. I bought a Rolleiflex while in the Air Force. Then getting involved with 35 mm color, I bought a Canon SLR which I used so much, I practically wore it out.
